Dream Covers # 5436.6

Scott Walker will cover “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath” with Kronos Quartet.

Although that’s predictable, if mind-blowing. Let’s say Walker will please cover Xiu Xiu’s “I Broke Up (SJ).”

Radiohead will cover Roky Erickson’s “I Have Always Been Here Before”
I Met Rocky [sic] Erickson – Daniel Johnston and Jad Fair

The Drones will cover the Scientists’ “We Had Love” (and they probably have, somewhere, sometime)
Scientists – We Had Love
Drones -She Had an Abortion That she Made Me Pay for

KD Lang (I don’t even really like her much) will cover American Music Club’s “Apology for an Accident” and I will hear it in the supermarket.

Sunset Rubdown will stop making music altogether.

Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings will cover Lindsay Buckingham’s “Go Insane.”
Animal Collective will cover the B-side of that song’s single, LB’s “Play in the Rain.” This is the “continued” part on the full length, which is all but worthless for these two songs (maybe “Bwana” or whatever it was)
Lindsay Buckingham:
Go Insane
Play in the Rain (continued)

Boris will cover Wipers’ “Youth of America” in English.
Wipers – Youth of America
Boris – Ano Onna No Onryou

Boris will cover “Boris the Spider” in Japanese. I’m almost joking.

  1. Dear blogger,Either your line that Sunset Rubdown should stop making music means that they cover so well (such as the lovely Apistat Commander) they should stop making their own music, or you actually mean they should stop altogether and are therefore a musically retarded douchebag. Thanks.

  2. I’ll take the retarded douchebag title, please. “Apistat Commander” isn’t even the best Xiu Xiu song. Or: maybe sunset rubdown ought to stop making music that sounds like Yes covers by Ewoks.
