Dando was an awful drummer. Mascis was a better drummer. And yeah, it’s unfair to compare McLusky with almost anything in the past 20 …but J Frank fights dirty — eyes melt. Skin burns. Ev-er-y-body dead!
I’m no huge fan of the Lemonheads’ new single, but at least I was compelled to listen a second time.Faux-angry gasoline garglers like McLusky are a dime a dozen.
Mr. Biggs – please point me in the direction of these other 12 bands, as excellent as McLusky (they are not faux angry, they are faux snide – listen closely), with whom I can purchase with a dime? Please respond, or I’ll have to assume they don’t exist.And I still do listen to the Lemonheads single from time to time, just for the Dando, but it’s like sex, or pizza – even when it’s bad, it’s still kinda good.

The drummer in this band played with the Lemonheads during a few shows in 2003. I guess Dando schooled him.
